Welcome to SyracuseSalsa.com

This is a site for lovers of salsa, rueda, cha-cha, rumba, bachata, merengue, tango and other latin dances. Several years ago, we noticed there were small pockets of people dancing some of the Latin dances. Dance events moved from location to location and were held on an irregular basis. We decided to make it our mission to bring the wonderful dance energy of these people together under one big roof. At the same time, we wanted to create a venue that would introduce as many curious non-dancers, as possible, to Latin dancing and to what we think is a great night out.
That's how "1st Friday Latin Dance Night" was born. It ran very successfull for 4 1/2 years. Our last dance was held on October 3rd, 2008. Click here to read more. Having accomplished our mission, we have decided to put more time and energy into our first love, Argentine Tango. You can find us at the Syracuse Suds Factory, where we have been holding a Milonga (Argentine Tango night), every Tuesday since 2000. To learn more about Syracuse Tango click here.
So If you are a dancer or a soon-to-be-dancer, come and join in. Even though we are not currently hosting any latin dance night, there are now many venues where you can go and enjoy Latin dancing.
